Case study
Making Meridian Healthworks legible to search and to assistants
A combined search and generative engine engagement for a clinical services provider whose expertise was real but almost invisible to the systems people now ask first.
Concept project: an illustrative case study, not a client engagement.

Challenge
Meridian ranked for its own name and very little else. More seriously, AI assistants described its services inaccurately, drawing on outdated third-party directory entries rather than anything Meridian had published.
Opportunity
Both problems had the same root: the organisation had never defined itself in a form machines could read. Fixing the underlying sources would improve conventional search and generative answers together.
Strategy
We started with entity definition and structured data, corrected the external sources that were feeding bad information, then built a publishing programme around the questions clinicians and patients actually ask.
Execution
Twelve months of technical work and structured publishing, with monthly monitoring of how assistants described the organisation and where those descriptions came from.

We did not know assistants were describing our services incorrectly until it was shown to us alongside where the information came from. Correcting the sources was unglamorous work and it was the right place to start.
